Estepona, Costa del Sol

Estepona has transformed itself into one of the most desirable towns on the western Costa del Sol. Once a quiet fishing village, it now combines a beautifully restored old town — known as the "Garden of the Costa del Sol" for its flower-filled streets and mural art route — with a modern marina, excellent beaches, and a growing international community.

The town stretches along 23km of coastline with a mix of golden sand beaches and quieter coves. The seafront promenade connects the port to the old town, passing through a series of beachfront chiringuitos and the recently expanded marina. Property ranges from affordable apartments in the centre to luxury villas in the hills above the coast.

Estepona offers excellent value compared to neighbouring Marbella, with comparable beaches and lifestyle at significantly lower prices. The town has invested heavily in infrastructure — new hospitals, schools, and cultural venues — making it increasingly popular with families and retirees seeking year-round living rather than purely holiday use.
